Hello Polly

1 week and 1 day old. I am totally in love. Hands down, bringing precious children into this world is my greatest achievement and by far the best and most amazing experience in this life. With each child that comes into my family my heart just grows even more as the love for each child grows. I feel so blessed and am so happy to have Polly Gloria Tavares Tutida join our family. She is so dear and tiny and pure. Love her to bits.

Number 3

So this little girl is about 22 weeks. I say "about" because to be honest I can't be bothered keeping track to the tee. Probably closer to 23 actually! When i can be bothered I'll check. I'm actually feeling really good now after the whole first trimester all day nausea. But as my belly grows but my body slows I come to the realisation that this baby has to come out eventually. That scares me. But excites me as I can't wait for her to join our family. Will she look like Estella? Or more like Minol? Or completely different to both. Life has been busy busy busy and I'm so glad to be home at mum and dad's for Christmas and New Years. I love Hobart. I love the scenery. I love my family. I love my friends and the beautiful people I have grown up with here. I love that Minol and Estella feel just as at home here. I haven't seen them go so hyperactive and crazy showing off! Lovin' it!

And they just keep growing.

Minol starts prep next year. Estella turns three in January next year. What happened to these two being babies? This year has flown by as the years just seem to do these days! Over the last 2 1/2 weeks we have been busy with our visitors- Master Wilson and Fernando who came all the way from Brazil. We have been out of routine, attending bjj classes, seminars, competitions left right and centre. Minol took them to Tassie for a few days so I had special time with the kids but having a head cold hasn't been fun! I have enjoyed practicing my Portuguese with our guests! And learning a few Brazilian recipes from Master Wilson who has been kicking me out of the kitchen! Anyway- so much to catch up on and as always I find it hard to find time to blog these days!!

My little fairy

Estella is a bit of a Tom boy. For her 2nd birthday Grandma had bought her a fairy tutu dress-pretty pink one. Would she wear it? NO!! I tried putting it on her for Ekatirina's party but she refused to put it on. So I tried a little pink ballerina skirt. It lasted 5 min before she took it off. So we settled with her denim skirt and a ribbon in her hair. When we arrived the older girls were all dressed up looking very cute and glittery in their fairy outfits and playing games with the guest fairy! To my surprise one of the others offered to put some fairy wings on her and she let her. Then Natasha came out with a pink tutu which Estella obligingly put on. And she was so cute putting on a tiara, bracelet and even had her face painted!! Although she loves babies and putting on my makeup (and heels which I don't even wear!) at home it was very cute seeing her dressed up all girlie/princessie with the other girls.

Torpedo

Monday is swimming day. Minol has been having swimming lessons for over two years now I think!! Currently he is learning to "torpedo". I love his swimming instructor Gabby. She is very patient with Minol. Today he was so excited to show me his strokes that he jumped his turn and dove into the water before another kid! He also had me laughing the day he was using the kick board and swimming on his back but had his eyes closed and when Gabby was helping out another kid Minol did a full turn and ended up heading back up the pool still with his eyes closed! He looked very relaxed!! Its great seeing Minol learning new skills and developing his confidence at swimming and diving under the water. It's also nice for me to take Estella for a little swim while Minol has his lesson. She loves it!

First Aiding

Today was a long but fun day catching up on First Aid. Last time I did a course it was DR ABC!! Now you follow the DRSABCD. It's certainly something you never wish to have to use but it's so important to have the knowledge and to be prepared for a situation if it was to ever arise. We went as a group from Evolve MMA so no doubt some shenanigans were bound to happen. We had fun practicing our bandaging skills! I'm lucky I had Bec to look after the kids and they had a great day with her. I missed them being away all day but it was really nice to have a day off mummy duties- something I haven't had in a very loooong time! (Yes, insanity almost kicked in).

easter

I couldn't find tin buckets anywhere so I settled with some white bags for the kids to decorate to use for their Easter egg hunt.  Minol was so excited that the Easter Bunny had left him and Estella chocolate and was especially excited that there were even more chocolate eggs for him to find.  It just sucked that Estella had been up the night before with a terrible cough and spent Easter Sunday with a high temperature.  She still managed to open all her chocolates and offer most of them to me.  I totally over dosed on chocolate that weekend and am only just recovering.

before and after

This was Estella before Minol's party... while I was cleaning the house a putting together a bookshelf this girl was rolling around having a grand ol' time making a mess.  Lucky she is so cute and helpful and offered to help wash up AFTER the party.

The Boy, The Birthday, The Party

Minol turned 4 on the 29th of March.

Big Minol bought a BBQ so we HAD to have a bbq/birthday party for Minol Batman- we had it on Saturday the 31st.

I absolutely love these pics of Estella.  She is always the last to leave the food table at parties!!

 Our good friend Edwin...
 Who loves Estella cuddles

I just had to make a Batman comic banner
 Cleaning up after the party...
Minol was so excited that his cousins could come to his party... especially little Batman Baby Henri!!  CUUUUUUUUUUUUTE!!
