BOOK WEEK Well what a great day. All of our favourite books came alive today as we had our book week parade at school! I am kicking myself that I didn't get photos of all the cool costumes! I can't wait to have kids and dress them up for stuff like this, hehe. I really wasn't prepared at all to dress up. I left it to the last minute and was up late going through all my books trying to come up with a character to dress up as! Finally I made up my mind and Sally from Cat in the Hat I became.

bubbye

I was invited back to a little party, for my final young women activity. And how cool... ALL ('cept one) of the young women were there for me to say my bubbyes as young women president! What a blessing to serve these beautiful young women!

little road trip

ess and jess
colly and ess
Ma, pa and I went on a little road trip saturday afternoon. We went up north for the Devonport Stake Conference. Good opportunity for me to catch up with my buddy ol' pal Collettie Poo's and little (well not so little anymore) Jess!

cows
I had a stop to smell the roses moment this week. After school I jumped in the car rearing to go home but took a moment to look at the cowies in the paddock right in front of the carpark. Too often I forget they are even there! One of them loves to stick its head through the fence and have a good ol' scratch on the wire. Wish I had my camera that day!

all good things come to an end

Just to fill you all in, I'm getting a new calling at church. No more young women...little cry cry cry... but it's all good as it's my time for a new adventure. No rest for the wicked. I'm gonna be a ward missionary. Haha... how bout that Pud! Gotta love it! I've already learnt from the best ward missionary that has ever lived Miss Julia Goolia. So should be fun!

the life

For anybody wondering, this is what Minol has been up to lately... oh the life...hehe. (Julia... are you happy this is not a picture of me?!)

oh to be a kid again

Had dinner at Fiona's tonight. I had the most fun eating tea than I've had in a very long time. Might have something to do with the smiley potato chippy things...

bjj

Me, Fiona, Phil and Paul

Sophie, Me, Fiona, Matt, Phil and Paul

BJJ comp held at the Bridgewater PCYC yesterday. Unfortunately for me there wasn't anyone for me to compete against as the only other females are white belts...boohoo. But Fiona, who has only been training for just over 3 months entered and did AWESOME! She submitted her first two oponents with armbars, but her last fight was against someone a bit heavier and once she got on top, Fiona wasn't quite sure how to get her off! So that's something to work on! Phil also did well, coming second in the open blue belt category.

poetry

Well well well, yes haven't I been slack at posting! I have an excuse... 'cough cough'... yes I've been sick. Almost died on wednesday night. Ohhhhh the aches and paaaaaains! Well that and I haven't really had anything to post. I have been keeping busy with work... here's the cover of a book we've been working on in class. The kids have been writing poems about themselves. We took off a book we read in class and are making our own version! I can't believe we're over half way through term now. 5 weeks til holidays! Yes I'm counting down. I'm really enjoying teaching though, this has been a wonderful year for me, I'm learning so much having my own class for the whole year. Well...it's friday... I wonder what the weekend has in store for me...
